Bio/Description

Yvette Deane is a Senior Research Specialist with the Bridging Divides Initiative. Prior to joining BDI, she worked with research centers and international governmental organizations like the Stimson Center, Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, and the Office of the Quartet. Yvette has a background as a researcher, journalist, and an educator. She has worked on conflict issues in the Middle East, Africa, and now the US. Yvette has a special interest in peacebuilding efforts and the energy sector. 

She holds a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and a B.A. from the Macaulay Honors College at CUNY Queens College, where she was an Ibrahim Student Leadership and Dialogue Fellow. After her B.A., Yvette was a US Fulbright Student Research Scholar at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
