Effective response requires the right people with the right training and practice in understanding conflict and supporting community-led solutions. BDI works to support the next generation through our student research assistant program, providing hands-on training and mentorship, and through engagement with undergraduate and graduate courses at Princeton SPIA – building closer links between students, data sources, policy practitioners, and the communities most impacted by violence.
Research Assistant Internship Program
BDI’s Research Assistant (RA) Internship program is central to our efforts to support and train the next generation of conflict mitigation and peacebuilding practitioners in the United States. RAs receive hands-on experience in political violence research and mitigation approaches as well as regular skill-building and professional development workshops.
The RA program is a 12-month internship to support our strategic objectives across multiple portfolios. RAs who are part of the program will work directly with a BDI researcher or project manager to support their work and gain valuable skills and experience.
