Use our tools to map the risk of political violence and connect with groups working to mitigate it.
Through real-time monitoring and data analysis, BDI tracks geographic trends around the United States to identify emerging hotspots and help partners focus their attention and resources. With evidence-based insights, produced on a timeline to meet the needs of community leaders and decision-makers, our tools capture risk factors but also map response capacity (or resilience). Our mixed methods approach pairs county- and community-level analysis of available data with rigorous qualitative research to draw out complex conflict mechanisms. These mapping tools enable you to:
- Identify hotspots through dynamic analysis of high-risk geographies
- Allocate resources and assess response capacity
- Connect with organizations and resources to mitigate risk

Watch for Expanded Coverage
In the coming months and years, BDI will continue broadening access to our County-Level Risk Index and modeling participatory case studies that elevate community knowledge. We will also integrate our interactive mapping tools into a new Layers of Resilience visual and data effort for practitioners and researchers seeking to understand the response ecosystem in detail.
Request Additional Analysis
Because BDI collects and monitors sensitive information on political violence risk in real time, not all data and analysis is made publicly available on our website. If your situation requires further resources that are not listed here, please contact us at [email protected] to see how we can help.
